JFEST 2012, Camp Jordan                       June 2                                                  8am-9pm

Since 1999, J103 has put on the largest Christian music festival in the Greater Chattanooga area. The event serves three main purposes: to evangelize, to bring clean wholesome entertainment for families, and to raise much-needed funds to keep J103 going strong during the summer months. From start to finish, this annual event is planned and completed by the J103 staff.They handle all aspects of the event including marketing, programs, concessions and ministry booths. Tennessee Cancer Coalition Summit, Chattanoogan             June 6-7

Mark your calendars now for the 2012 Summit which will be held in beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee! The 2012 Summit will take place on Wednesday, June 6 and Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Chattanoogan hotel. Visit TC2 2012 Summit for more information and to register today!

Hamilton County Minority Health Fair             August 18           9-2pm

Committed to providing much needed health screenings and educational services to citizens of Hamilton County and surrounding areas and as committed catalysts for change in the neighborhoods where we live, work and play, Komen Chattanooga, along with countless other local agencies, continues our partnership to make a difference. Join us for the 10th Annual Minority Health Fair at the Eastgate Town Center on Sunday, August 18th.

Raft for the Cure, Wildwater Rafting Company         August 25         2pm Trip

sfaLooking for an adventure before the weather turns cool? Get wet with Wildwater Rafting in the name of breast cancer!Your team will make itsway down the Ocoee River with a certified guide on the 2pm trip. 2nd Annual 7 Bridges Marathon                    October 21              7am

Take part in Chattanooga's 7 Bridges Marathon, half marathon, & 5k while supporting Komen Chattanooga. The 7 Bridges Marathon on October 21, 2012 at 7am will take runners across the Tennessee River 6 times as you traverse the city. You will run by the Tennessee Aquarium, AT&T Field, Creative Discovery Museum, cross the Chickamuaga Dam, and enjoy a stroll along the Chattanooga Riverwalk, then through the Bluff View Art District, past Hunter Museum and over Historic Walnut Street Bridge to finish in front of the Carousel in Coolidge Park.

Third Party Events!

 

A third party event is a fundraiser hosted by members of the community and local companies that wish to donate money to the Chattanooga Affiliate.  These events can be as small as a dinner party for a few guests where you ask for donations to a large scale sporting event.  These events can use the Komen name and logo to publicize the event and the organization will also include your event listing on our website. If you are interested in hosting an event, please contact the Chattanooga Affiliate at (423)499-9155.

Organize and host your very own event with Rally for the Cure®!

Rally for the Cure® is about people who are committed to making an impact in the fight against breast cancer. Rally is an awareness program that provides a simple platform for people to educate their friends, family and community about breast health and breast cancer. Our volunteer organized golf, tennis and social events have communicated the important message that early detection saves lives to over 1.9 million people and have generated over $60 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure® since 1996.

Whether you are a golfer, a bowler, a chef or a runner, you can contribute to the fight against breast cancer 365 days a year. By participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® or another Komen event, you become part of a grassroots network that has changed the way the world talks about and treats breast cancer. You can make a difference as you celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life-threatening disease.
