Funding Priorities

The Komen Chattanooga Affiliate is one of over 120 affiliates in the network of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting to end breast cancer forever. The Affiliates are the face and voice of Komen for the Cure’s global breast cancer movement in communities around the world. Through local events and activities, the Komen Chattanooga Affiliate mobilizes and educates thousands of community members while raising funds to support community–based breast cancer programs.

Brief Summary of Priorities

Based on the results of the 2009 Community Profile, four priorities have been identified:
(1) Provide MOBILE breast cancer education (health fairs) and screening services (mammograms)
(2) Assist with the cost of screening, diagnostic mammograms and treatment services
(3) Provide breast cancer education and screening services
(4) Provide support services for women diagnosed with breast cancer
